Leadership is ineffable. Varied and many are the qualities that result in consistent success. Whatever the recipe, Andy Taylor has mastered it. Bluntly stated, there are few brokers in Canada who can match his catalogue of record sales and fulfilled, loyal, lifelong clients. Clients who he now counts among his friends as well.
As one of the country’s foremost real estate portfolio managers, Andy begins with the 30,000-foot view of each client’s potential transaction as a critical piece of their overall personal real estate holdings. Then, he digs deep into the minutiae to ensure every detail has been evaluated. Andy closely controls every transaction through closing day and beyond. His service never ends. Life happens — customer needs are ever in flux, and real estate portfolios must be managed to maximize client value through the years.
Andy is the rare real estate professional who is truly able to claim that he has “grown up” in the industry. He has been immersed in the sales, development and building of homes in Toronto almost since he learned to walk. His depth of understanding of the Toronto market is simply unparalleled. His market knowledge and opinion are regularly featured by leading media voices including The Toronto Star, The Toronto Sun, and The Globe & Mail.
He was a lynchpin and founder of the Toronto office of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada in 2007, and continues to be one of the country’s top-ranked brokers year after year. His elite team of realtors offers an unparalleled combination of global reach and specialized local expertise.
Andy is also an originating member of the Sotheby’s International Realty Market Leaders, an elite network of trailblazing, top-producing agents positioned within the most significant markets throughout North America and Europe. This unrivaled team matches high net worth buyers and sellers worldwide, combining for more than $8.2 billion in transactions annually. Whatever his client’s market of choice, Andy and his network have feet on the ground in that region, which means instant evaluation of any potential purchase.
Andy sells more than just houses, he sells lifestyles and dreams. He often represents the interests of families with multiple domestic and foreign properties, such as iconic, high-end luxury residences, exotic vacation homes and investment properties. Andy and his team also offer the benefit of their trusted advice and valuable experience to families with growing real estate portfolios that include next-generation, young owners of residences under the million-dollar mark.
“I am fortunate to have been exposed to the business early on, which ignited my passion and instilled me with the desire and seasoned experience to help my clients realize their dreams,” Andy says.
Beyond his love of real estate and dedication to clients, Andy has a discerning eye for architecture and home design. He has a daughter and twin sons. In his spare time, you can usually find Andy on the links, the hiking trail, or spending quality time with his family on beautiful Georgian Bay.
Jodi Allen has found the sweet spot. That place we all seek in our careers, where passion and business intersect. It is from this place that a professional can truly excel on behalf of their clients, finding personal gratification by bringing value and joy to their lives.
Jodi awakens each day with the same theme, whether in her business life or personal: “relationships.” Every interaction on the street and every showing or listing appointment is a new friendship waiting to bloom. She prides herself on clients becoming friends, and maintaining those robust relationships long after the transaction is complete. “Closing day” is not a finish line, but merely a time stamp on a lifelong friendship.
Being raised in Toronto by a mother who worked in real estate, and watching her elder sister follow a similar path, Jodi saw firsthand the satisfaction that comes from helping buyers acquire the homes of their dreams. She pursued a different path initially, focusing her education on the business side of fashion and design before enjoying a 16-year career in the restaurant industry. Having built a strong set of skills and experience, as well as the ability to connect with people from all backgrounds and cultures, she ultimately found her way into real estate in 2004.
Peers frequently say she is as much a therapist to her clients as an agent — a term Jodi heartily embraces — as she guides them through both the financial as well as the emotional side of the purchase or sale of a home. She has built a reputation for including clients in every decision while working diligently behind the scenes to ensure the transaction progresses smoothly, which allows them to enjoy the process in a low-stress environment.
Jodi strives to work agreeably with agents on both sides of every transaction: “The best deals happen when both agents are calm and collected, always keeping client needs at the forefront of mind.”
Toronto is a city with myriad eclectic neighbourhoods, each bearing a distinct personality. Jodi knows these neighbourhoods intimately and understands their unique appeal to incoming residents. She recognizes Toronto’s growing stature as a leading international city and the allure of its multi-cultural lifestyle.
Weekends, when not showing property or taking on a new listing, Jodi can often be found hiking at the pristine Evergreen Brickworks Trail, cheering at a local sporting event, or enjoying some relaxed downtown dining. Her loyal fur baby Rafa is at her side whenever possible, enchanting everyone he meets. Equally at home at the beach or on the ski slopes, Jodi is relentlessly active. Her favourite getaway remains the family cottage at Bayfield, where epic sunsets have been a constant throughout her life. Recently, she has taken up golf and is enjoying the perpetual challenge to improve her performance on the links.
She tries to taste every flavour of Toronto and encourages her clients to do the same.
